Rev. Chris Breyer has been doing weddings since 1985. As a child he was always moved watching his Grandfather perform weddings. His Grandfather was a Judge and a Baptist Minister, he loved the Lord and it was evident in everything he did and most importantly in the way he did weddings. Chris hoped that when he grew up, if he ever had to deal with people, he wanted to have the impact on them that his Grandpa Ira did.
When he became a minister it was not his intention to do weddings, in fact as an adult he forgot all about that child watching his Grandfather. When Chris was 25 years old he got the chance to do his first wedding ceremony. He was asked to do a wedding ceremony in the middle of a forest, then he remembered the days with his grandfather and the blessing he was. A month later, he was contacted by a couple that was referred to him by the bride of the wedding in the Forrest. Some couples refuse to have anyone else do their ceremony. Rev. Breyer has traveled many miles to do weddings outside of Southern California. Rev. Chris Breyer has become one of the most requested wedding officiators in the Inland Empire area of Southern California.
advertising Rev. Breyer has been officiating weddings since 1985, he does not perform weddings for a living, nor is it his usual area of ministry. He does weddings because he enjoys them and loves to see people blessed. It is for this reason; his fees are still the lowest in the area. He does a lot of weddings every year in various locations. He has done weddings in churches, restaurants, in the middle of a forest, on large boats on lakes, at a creek side, on the side of a highway, in small cabins, in large homes, on the shore of a lake, in the snow, and yes, even in the rain. Several Resorts, Bed and Breakfast Lodges, and Tourist Attractions refer him on a regular basis for weddings at their locations. Rev. Breyer does not do any hard advertising; he has found that word of mouth is indeed the best form of advertisement. Rev. Breyer has done many weddings for couples that one or both were either at a wedding that he officiated or has been recommended by someone that had attended a ceremony.
UNIQUENESS OF YOUR CEREMONY Doing so many weddings a person stands the chance of being redundant and having it show very boldly in the ceremonies. Rev. Breyer makes it a habit to never use the same ceremony every single time. Each couple is different and unique in their own way, so their ceremony should also be unique to whom they are as a couple. Though there are some elements that are the same and that are said in every ceremony, each ceremony is done a little differently, fitted as much to what the couple desires as possible. He has done some weddings where either the families or the couple has been deaf and the ceremony had been signed so that none would have been left out and everyone could have the full effect of the ceremony. Rev. Breyer has been asked many times to officiate mixed faith ceremonies, where elements of both faiths need to be represented in the ceremony. Such as Catholic to Jewish, Catholic to Baptist, Baptist to Lutheran, and of course there is the couple that claims no faith or affiliation to any denomination Rev. Breyer is usually able to help in meeting their needs.
THEME WEDDINGS Theme weddings are becoming more and more popular, themes such as Cowboy or Country Western, Hawaiian attire, Class A Uniform (Fire Department, Military, Law Enforcement). Though his usual attire for weddings is a suit, whenever he is asked to officiate a wedding that has a particular theme, he always offers to dress the theme. In doing this, in no way does it take away from the serious significance of the wedding ceremony, what it does do is bring happiness to the couple being united and makes the ceremony more significant for them.
Because Rev. Breyer holds a position of Bishop, some couples request that he wears the clergy shirt with white collar, for them this brings a certain liturgical element to their ceremony. RefeRrals
